Riser Management
As the exclusive manager of the building’s internal wiring systems, Montgomery Tech is responsible for connecting your voice and data systems to your preferred service provider within the building. Service providers (such as AT&T, MCI/Verizon, etc.) deliver their services to the building’s MPOE (minimumpoint of entry) and terminate the circuits to specific demark points on the telecommunications frame. From here, Montgomery Tech will extend circuits using the building’s riser system to the proper floor(s) and suite(s) for tenants.
The standard fee for this service is billed to the tenant at $95 per hour, plus materials. Fixed priced estimates are available upon request. The wiring of each circuit is recorded in our proprietary database for quick reference; the database is extremely useful for troubleshoots if they ever become necessary.
Montgomery Tech utilizes local union contractors to perform low voltage wiring and cabling at an established market rate. We work closely with several contractors in the area to provide tenants with the highest quality work and competitive bidding from structured cabling vendors. Tenants are welcome to take their cabling projects out to bid by union vendors and contractors, however, Montgomery Tech services will still be required to provide final connectivity from the service provider to the suite.
Montgomery tech also provides management of cabling projects for tenants looking for a single point of contact for all telecommunications needs. Our local service center is a valuable resource available to all tenants in the building and is prepared to handle any questions you may have related to technology and telecommunications.
